Member Profile - March 2007

Before joining TriMet as director of marketing in Sept. 2000, Blevins worked in the private sector with positions in retail, service, tourism and manufacturing. He sees his AMA membership as a way to maintain his wide-ranging connections.

“It’s an opportunity to network and engage with other marketers in other industries and areas of focus,” he said, adding that he has particularly enjoyed attending AMA’s educational events.

He encourages others in his department to also take advantage of the AMA to exchange information and ideas with other Portland-area professionals.

Look for Blevins at upcoming AMA events; he’ll be one of our members filing in from the bus stop. He is quick to note that, although he carpools to his office in Southeast Portland, he frequently takes public transportation to downtown meetings, chatting with riders along the way to ensure that their experiences match the expectations he helps to foster.
